Why the Maya collapsed (Classic Period)

I think the Mayans collapsed because there was a great fire that burned all their crop and the surrounding area. If it burned it would actually make the soil more nutrient rich so trees would grow faster. It also wouldn't effect most of their buildings, because they were made of stone, and any residue would have been washed off by the rains or blown off. It would also explain why some of the Mayans starved, they would have no crops and would slowly be malnourished or starved. It would show why there was only mahogany pollen after 1200 A.D. It would take a while for the mahogany to grow back. Then they Maya would have moved deeper into the forest to find food and shelter.

This is what the could have happened and as you can see there is already new vegetation growing.

I think that sarah palin was wrong about that McCain helped Fanne may freddie mac. McCain belives that the goverment should not help with buissness. Sarah Palin was being misleading saying that obama voted for 94 taxs increases because McCain voted for most of them and he voted for 436 tax increases. I think that taking are troops out of Iraq right away will be bad but I don't think that we have to win the war we just need to end it. I think we might have to move into Pakistan but not in huge numbers. We don't need to win the war in Iraq but we need to stop it. I think that McCain's idea is just wierd. you would probally have to pay more than the health care right now. I think that obama's plan is a lot better, but it has some flaws to.

Economic plan

I think that we should start making new jobs in America instead of sending jobs over seas. Taxing the merchandise that is made over seas would bring more money into the economy and people might start creating new jobs in the U.S. People might be able to pay of their mortgage. The government could give banks money to pay peoples mortgage. Then the government can get the money back over the years. They could also help get the big banks back.
